a.k.a. the GAH Member Interactive Game Thread (#1), which was created Mar-Nov 2005 by members of the GreatestAmericanHero.com message board.

As the senior moderator of said board (administrated by greenguy), I have given permission to MelMac to re-post this multi-author work here, but with the comments removed so it will read as one long story. Each author will be credited for their work on each post, since many of them are not members here (or even active on our board any more).

Special acknowledgment goes to Average American Hero (who is currently creating the exclusive comics at tgah.proboards43.com) for the original idea, and to MelMac and houdiniderek for doing the majority of the work to complete it near the end.

It has been three years since Ralph first recieved his famed super suit from mysterious alien visitors.

After all this time Ralph still finds fighting crime as an imposed Superman difficult to deal with. But day in and day out he moves forward by an unseen force to 'do the right thing.'

Today is a teachers day off in his school district. Pam is at work and Bill is no where to be seen or heard. So, with his suit on and super suit underneath, Ralph heads into town for some 'casual time.'

Mid afternoon. Nice cool day. Sun is out. And for the big city, all is quite.......So far.

Walking along just enjoying the day, Ralph eyes the Mass Comic Digest Store up ahead and decides to go in and browse. After looking through the racks for awhile Ralph strikes up a conversation with the owner of the store Mr. Yates. All of a sudden from the street he hears a scream for help and rushes outsides to see what is going on.....

Ralph sees a masked gunman backing out of the bank across the street, with a woman hostage. He runs back into the shop to look for a place to change. He finds the superhero comics aisle, gives a wry little smile, a shrug, and starts to take off his tie.

Then Mr. Yates comes around the corner to stock and see's him changing. Then gives Ralph a wink ;)

As he finishes undressing he turns to Mr. Yates hands him his clothes and says " Could you watch these for a minute I can't afford to loose anymore clothes on my salary." He starts to run toward the front door and slips on the lastest issue of Superman, and out thru the plate glass window he goes!

With the gun to her side and an arm around her neck, the bank robber backs in the street looking feverishly from side to side.

"Darn rent a cop security. Shut up lady. I didnt want any hostages either. But HERO COP in there had to go for his gun!"

From out of the bank a security officer appears with his gun drawn.

"Let the lady go punk." the watchman yells

Ralph shakes his head and says "Damn! " Stands up brushes himself off and says to himself " I guess it's time for a little invisability

Mr. Yates comes to his broken window and sees Ralph turn invisible. He then looks at his broken window and sighs as he says to himself. “They just don’t make super types like they use to.

Ralph answers, "I can hear you, you know. Just because you can't see me..oh nevermind." He runs off to help the hostage.
